I have been camping him, on average, about 10 hours a week. Yesterday I finally seen blood seeker spawn. This was the closest I have ever got to seeing him.
It kind of want to give up hope on him. Comment by StarcallerVoxy Funny 10 day diary of camping Aeonaxx Valuable piece of info he spawned infront of me at uk time game time while i was afk In the far top left corner of the spawn points. Day 1: So my hunt for Aeonaxx begins, I've read this beast is one hard to find but with my recent 2 minutes camping luck with Skoll I'm sure this beast will be no match!
Day 2: Aeonaxx, where are you? I hope your not going to turn our like Loque and after 2 years of semi-camping him still no luck Day 3: Aeonaxx, this game is getting rather boring, your now preventing me from leaving the Deepholm just incase you are to spawn Is this just a myth? Day 5: Im starting to think his beast is definetly not real, although the outstanding knowledge on wowhead seems to persuade me otherwise No rares have spawned in the past 6 days in deepholm I'm starting to think that maybe my computer is infact bugged?
Day 7: Goldurak spawns! Something atlast! Npc scanner went mad and i nearly screamed thinking it was you, but no My hunt goes on! Day 8: This dragon is too elusive But my heart tells me to stay here and just be patient Atleast i can study while i camp and just listen out for the npc scanner to go off Day 9: Dear Diary, my patience is wearing thin, 9 days of no Aeonaxx and my frustrations are really showing. Im starting to think this dragon has adopted some kind of Romulan cloaking device to evade capture But i wont give up hope, i can feel you about to spawn any second!
Day So now its day 10, after a few too many glasses of wine last night i log in and start camping. I did a couple of laps around Jade fang and Terborus and to my amazement they had both spawned at the same time! So i killed Terborus, run back to see if u have spawned but nothing And then request help and tame the beloved Jade Fang And back to your spawn spots i fly I go and get some lunch Check on you I go downstairs to tidy the kitchen and have a quick cigarette I come back to NPC scanner going mad You had spawned Infront of me!
I quickly zoom my camera around but cant see you, my worst fears, someone else has got you? I cry as a lvl 85 rogue says "yes im on him now" i add to party and see you flying with someone else on your back My heart is broken!
Comment by Fourchette Realm - azgalor Time - 1pm server approx Date - May 16, I ported into Deepholm to do my dailies, upon porting in, my NPC scan went off inside the temple, I flew outside and he was flying right around Temple of Earth, mounted him and killed him. Easy to solo. Not sure how long he had been spawned because he was up as soon as i ported into the zone.
Didn't even realize he dropped a mount, just saw a rare and knew I should kill it. Mount is beautiful btw. Love it! The flight: I am a SV lvl 85 Hunter, ilvl and took no more than 20k damage the whole fight. I sat on his back and shot at his head, didnt worry about the adds. Took seconds to kill him. I logged in at uk time game time after the server reset as I saw rumours he spawns afterwards.
He spawned 13 hours later. Comment by Chirider I no longer believe he even exists. I now believe that this is a really big joke that I'm not in on.
Comment by LiriellGarrosh Just downed him on my 85 demo warlock with no trouble, was an easy fight. I summoned my doomguard, but I'm not sure if he was on the dragon's back with me or if he just spawned on the ground.
And the funny thing is, I went to Deepholm by mistake! NPCScan went off and I rushed off to look for him. My mage who is my mount collector is now totally jealous. Comment by After 2 weeks of solid farming hrs a day i finally got him. Took prob 15 seconds too down him and i paid no attention to the little dragons.
Easy as pie for me Lock After i downed him i went to see if any other rares were up and only Jadefang was. All my hard work finally paid off, btw i was camping in between the 2 SW spawn points and he spawned at the furthest southern point. My npc scan picked him up from where i was and i could make out his figure for a split second with my view distance on "good.
Happy Hunting! Comment by Just killed Aeonaxx, server time, Xavius, at Comment by So, for the last month June Hellscream there are a total of 6 Aeonaxx spawns in this relam Just for information. I got him. He is huge, well, his bright teal color is really eye catching, if you have your screen quility as "Good", you should be able to see him He's not that high above, around the stonecore dungon level i think He fly in circle, i mean, fly in circle in a dot point.
Not like Xariona flying in a big circle at all. Im going to farm Aeonaxx more though, need 2 more for friends. I wonder if u dismount him, does he just disappear Comment by Cuddlebunz Just killed Aeonaxx while flying through Deepholm. He was slightly higher than the level of stone core, almost as high as the floating rock platforms around it, and his coordinates were around Killed him as a ilvl Survival hunter very easily.
The entire fight took place on his back, killed him within a minute, parachuted down and looted this beauty! Accidentally found him while flying to the throne. Good luck to everyone hunting! Comment by cathline Server: Aggramar Date: June 2nd Time: pm just after noon Coords: 46,44 ish I've been camping deepholm for 2 weeks now since the last known kill.
I missed the last spawn by 5 minutes, I had been in Deepholm and left to check something on the AH. Then I would log back in around until pm or so. So I was not logged on all day long and there was plenty of time for Aeonaxx to spawn and me to miss it. I logged in today while eating lunch and taking a break from Diablo and my Npc scan went off.
I was sitting on the ledge just below and to the right of the Stonecore summoning stone. Aeonaxx spawned at the upper of the 2 spawn points there. He was flying slightly higher than where i was sitting and it took me a minute to actually find him.
Reminder to all hunting him. You have to right click to mount him. I've been off playing Diablo where everything is left click and kept left clicking to mount.
I actually accidentally hit one of my spells while trying to mount and dismounted myself. Thankfully I'm a priest so could levitate to the ground but omg that was a heart stopper. Anyway, once you mount he takes off and starts flying around the zone. I did have several whelps spawn but I just shielded and kept doing damage to Aeonaxx.
Kept Shadow word pain, and plaque on him, did mind flay and shadow word death when ever off cooldown. It was not a hard fight but did take a few minutes. It didn't help I was so freaked over almost falling to my death that my hands were shaking and I kept hitting wrong keys.
My apologies to the worgen priest that chased him while I was fighting him, keep checking you will get him. Server: Aggramar Date: June 6th time: pm I was sitting in my usual camping place with another character. However the Worgen Priest that I beat to it the other day got it.
Today I had been logged in for about 7 hours when Aeonaxx spawned. Hope this helps figure out spawn times. Comment by Pops I just had my NPC Scan go off for Aeonaxx code on Cenarion Circle server at around 3 am server time but the strange thing was, I was nowhere near any of the spawn locations!
I was logged in with my hunter and camping in the cave where Jadefang spawns. That cave is up at the northeast corner of Deepholm, way beyond the effective detection range of NPC Scan, so I'm wondering what's going on? Has anyone else experienced false alarms like this? Comment by SomeChillGuy For those of you who believe that he spawns higher or at a height level to the Stone Core entrance, he actually spawns quite a big lower.
I would have missed him if it wasn't for npc scan, I thought he would be aggressive, but he's not. He spawns relatively low, then flies up at about, or close to, a 40 degree angle, up to where most people find him. I'm hoping this is useful information, I almost always see campers as high if not higher than the Stone Core I'm currently camping on my Death Knight at the moment.
Keep searching guys, this mount is probably one of the coolest in the game. Comment by Pops I think I may have found a possible seventh spawn location for Aeonaxx. Thoughts anyone?
When mists comes out in a few months, every one of your toons will have him if one does. But in the meantime, everyone else trying to get him has to also compete with you, when you already have him.
Comment by My heart is beating so fast! I've been camping Aeonaxx for a few weeks now.. So today before logging off, I decided to just go around the temple couple of times As soon as got into deepholm.. I was drinking a margarita and spilled it all over my keyboard. Took me about 30 seconds to find him because he was flying really high.
Realm: Twisting Nether Time: am Coord: 53,26 not even close to where the ncp scan says he spawn , he was actually where Terborus is supposed to spawn. Comment by This beautiful baby just spawned as I went to Deepholm to farm leather for a friend. I literally screamed in vent. Poor guys probably went deaf. Comment by Cant find him im at the stonecore 4 ever and nothin :. Comment by Please up vote this if one can, because this is very recent observation of Aeonaxx.
I have verified this; roughly 9 hours after Blood Seeker had spawned, Aeonaxx showed up for me. It's easily accomplished, especially with view distance cranked up to at least Good or High. I personally camped in between the NW and SW points. He spawned SW for me. He makes tight circles around his spawn point so be quick! Some tips from me: Alt tab during camping times, or plug in your speakers and go about your day.
Don't lose hope, stay strong. If he or B. Pan your camera all the way out for max view distance. From the looks of videos and my personal experience, he flies a touch below the most commonly broken section of the surrounding pillars. If spawn points are camped, be courteous and just fly in between all of them. Best of the BEST luck to you all!
Edit 2: Obviously, you can now both range AND melee him now. Went and mounted him and was just hitting with crusader strikes and shield of the righteous. When whelps started spawning i used a few AOE hits. Pretty easy hardly did any dmg on my pally and whelps went down really fast. Spawned close to the ground and started circling upwards, as expected.
As others did, switched from standard rotation to AOE when a whelp popped. The fight is going to be trivial for an 85 with any gear from the Twilight 5-mans.
Had been camping about a week, mostly daytime and early evening hours left my home PC running with WOW in background as I worked. NPCscan and an AFK alarm make this a lot easier to do while, you know, having something resembling a normal existence.
Comment by darnell tamed at Releam:Tenenas Time: aug 22 am Location: West of Thundermar his not stealth like some people say he is just a tip when your looking for him stay close to the ground incase npc scan does not go off. Comment by Today Sept. Aeonaxx spawn location at 42, Down Aeonaxx quickly before the whelp popped.
Comment by was killed on whisperwind at around pm, server time. I just started camping her today about an hour earlier I was reading this thread and bam - she popped SW of the Temple of the earth about Stonecore height Saw her about a week ago as well but was on an undergeared level 82 and tried to summon a guildie in to get her but we didn't get to her in time Hands are still shaking after hearing NPCScan go off and seeing her a little way away I never camped for him, just flew the circuit once every time that I logged on.
Flew out after coming through the portal and he was just there. Was surprised that no one else had tagged him but I just got lucky. Comment by videodrome I killed aeonaxx awhile ago, using a lot of information from this page.
I consolidated it all into video format if anyone wants a demonstration of the routes and spawn points. You can see it here. Comment by Crimsonmars Got this bad boy yesterday after camping him for around 5 months, Was sooo happy. My strategy was camping between two spawn points to the south west, the two that are closest together and just turning the volume on wow all the way up, and continue too do other things while waiting.
What i was doing at the time was just watching random videos on youtube, this just proves that you do NOT have stay on wow and watch for him too spawn, you can do other things as well : Verrrry easy to kill as a holy paladin : just pop wings and divine purpose, holy shock when its up and spam Denounce. If you are on a cloth class Priest, Warlock, or Mage , you will do a very small amount of damage if you are wearing no gear and melee the mob.
If you do this with any other class, you WILL one-shot him at max level! Comment by dryzl I believe Druids can also use Soothe to pull in any form. Comment by Sarthorius Personally I find this change in Legion 7.
Right now it may be even harder to even see his spawn. Comment by Dothrag Is his spawn affected by realm reset? I mean does he spawn right after reset or spawn countdown continues for regular window? Comment by Fengal Hi everyone, sorry for being a noob Comment by sanguinas So i fell victim to the "If Aeonaxx is killed at one of his spawn points that is above a pillar, it is possible for his body to fall inside the pillar and not be directly lootable" issue this morning.
Tried mass looting as recommended, but this didnt work. Ive submitted a ticket and taken as many relevant screenshots that i could think of giving evidence of my kill. The corpse was slash targetable, but yeah, couldnt see it and it wasnt interactable with in any way. Tried marking it, but that didnt work either. With four spawn locations in the west and two spawn locations in the east, camping for Aeonaxx in the west may provide a better chance for sighting, but also makes the west more popular and crowded.
Proper etiquette is to camp at a location that no one else is camping. As with camping for any mob, crowding or stacking on a player already camping at a location is discourteous, and lowers the odds of a kill for both players. Wowpedia Explore. Main Page All Pages. Again, Ponderance hasn't been able to duplicate this, however if you know how tag mechanics work in the game, it's better to be safe than sorry.
It's a camping game changer folks. After you mount it, it will take off and start it's path around Deepholm exiting near NW1. Aeonaxx itself does no damage to you. So you can ignore that while you cast your buffs.
After a few seconds the adds will start spawning. They are called Young Stone Drake and die easily. These are what you must kill first. If you are confident their k damage a piece every few seconds can be absorbed by your combat self healing or whatever while you nuke Aeonaxx, go for it. But in most cases you will want to kill them the moment they come up, because they pile up and become a ton of damage. Do not be frightened, it is an encounter I have done on a level 82 DK with ilvl and an 82 Boomkin with ilvl.
It's not hard, you just must maintain focus and get those Young Stone Drakes down hard and fast. Spam this simple macro and it will always keep the Young Stone Drakes targeted while they are up, and when they are not it will keep your target back on Aeonaxx.
It is very simple, and there are various other ways to do this. Once Aeonaxx dies, you will fall to the ground with it. You will be given a parachute. Then you can loot the new mount.
